This Enfocus PitStop command allows us to add "Trim marks
" and "Bleed marks
" to the pages of a PDF. These can be chosen in the style of the two most popular graphic design programs (Adobe InDesign or Quark Xpress). To position them, PitStop uses the BleedBox and the TrimBox in each page. The marks are placed 6 pts outside the corresponding box (approx. 2.1 mm).
There are no other options. The colour used is "Registration
" ("Separation All
"). The command will be applied to the previously selected pages. If none has been selected, it will be applied to all pages.
If the CropBox, used to display the PDF on screen, is smaller than the MediaBox (that is, the paper), the marks will not be visible even if they have been applied. This is the most usual situation.
Warning: If there is no TrimBox, no trim marks will be added. The same applies to the BleedBox and bleed marks.
