This Enfocus PitStop command allows us to check for any halftone phases that may be present in a PDF. If there are any, the PDF will be marked as chosen in the "Log" area for further processing.

We can delimit this check with four options:

  • "All rendering objects" (i.e. all objects likely to receive these phases, which are the next three options).
  • "Paths".
  • "Text".
  • "Images" (pixel objects).

Halftone phases (HTP keys) are a prepress option of quite versions of the PDF format that can cause problems when printing (in fact, they are forbidden in PDF/X standards).

They can still be found in some older documents.
