This Enfocus PitStop command allows us to check for any halftone phases that may be present in a PDF. If there are any, the PDF will be marked as chosen in the "Log
" area for further processing.
We can delimit this check with four options:
- "
All rendering objects
" (i.e. all objects likely to receive these phases, which are the next three options). - "
Paths
". - "
Text
". - "
Images
" (pixel objects).
Halftone phases (HTP keys) are a prepress option of quite versions of the PDF format that can cause problems when printing (in fact, they are forbidden in PDF/X standards).
They can still be found in some older documents.
