This Enfocus PitStop command allows us to check whether a spot colour with a certain suffix has been used in a document. There are two mutually exclusive check options. If the selected one is satisfied, the search is considered successful and the PDF will be marked as selected in the "Log
" area for further processing.
The first option ("If a spot color has a suffix, then it must be, this known suffix…
"), is that the suffix is one of a closed list of 22 possibilities provided by the programme, corresponding to the best known commercial direct inks.
The second ("If a spot color has a suffix, then it must be, not a known suffix
"), is precisely the opposite: There is a suffix in the name of one of the defined spot colours, but it is none of the above list.
