This Enfocus PitStop command allows us to embed a font in a PDF. Fot the fonts to be embedded, they must have been previously selected and they must be available in the document or in the system. Besides, the font must have permissions to be embedded. Otherwise, the command will have no effect.
There are two possible forms of embedding: "completely
" or only in part (as a "subset
"); in that case only the characters used will be embedded.
If a font was already embedded as a subset and we ask for its full embedding, this will be done. If it was already wholly embedded and we ask for it to be embedded as a subset, it will remain embedded completely. That is, PitStop does not reduce it to a subset.
Warning: In addition to the problems that may arise with outdated font formats or poor quality fonts, some modern and experimental font types, such as variable fonts or SVG fonts, can cause unknown problems, of which PitStop may not give any sign.
