This Enfocus PitStop command allows us to transform into DeviceN only those colours defined as DeviceN with NChannel information.
As NChannel is an extension of the DeviceN colour spaces that appeared with PDF level 1.6, its colour data may cause problems in documents or devices that do not support level 1.6. Besides, NChannel is not supported by the PDF/X-1a, PDF/X-3 and PDFA-1 standards. This command addresses these incompatibilities.
There are three non-exclusive options to choose what kind of colour information the conversion target should contain:
- "
DeviceN
". - "
NChannel with regular DeviceN color information only
". - "
NChannel with color information additional to regular DeviceN
".
Warning: The documentation available about the operation of these options is scarce. But if we want to transform the existing Nchannel colours to be DeviceN only, we must check the second option, regardless of whether or not we choose the others. The colour becomes defined as DeviceN only.
That's all I can say and if you have any information on the other options it would be much appreciated.
