In a PDF, characters can form lines, words and single characters. In the first two cases, they are placed on a vectorial path (which can be straight or curved). If we move the path, we move all the characters associated with it. In addition, we can reassign the spacing between the characters on the path.
This Enfocus PitStop command allows us to change that, by fragmenting selected paths that have text characters, leaving each of these characters loose and assigning each a vector point that anchors them to specific places in the document. In spite of this, they are still text elements.
From that moment onwards, each character behaves as an element that has no relationship with the surrounding characters, even though they are also characters.
The command has no options or parameters.
