This Enfocus PitStop command allows us to remove all layers by flattening the document. There are three mutually exclusive possibilities:
-
"
Preserve the initial view of the PDF
": Elements that are hidden (because they belong to a layer whose visibility is deactivated in the document definition) are completely removed from the document (they are not hidden but deleted).Warning: For objects in a layer to be removed with this option, the layer must be hidden not only because its "
Initial state
" is "Inactive
", but also because its "Default state
" is "Disabled
". Otherwise, the object is not only not deleted, but it becomes displayed as well. -
"
Preserve the current view of the PDF
": Elements that are hidden because they belong to a layer whose visibility is currently disabled (i.e. they need not have been saved yet) are completely removed from the document (they are not hidden). -
"
Make all elements visible
": Elements that are hidden because they belong to a layer whose visibility is deactivated are no longer hidden. Nothing is deleted.
