This Enfocus PitStop command allows us to rasterize the whole content of a page, converting it into pixels with the selected resolution, colour mode and compression parameters.
The supported colour modes are: Gray (DeviceGray), RGB (DeviceRGB) and CMYK (DeviceCMYK). The colour profiles applied for conversion are those set in the current PitStop colour management preferences. In addition, we can choose a "Page Blending Space
", which will apply the colour mode assigned to the page, saving the user the need to make a choice.
The 1-bit-per-pixel colour mode (called "bitmap
" in Photoshop to distinguish it from the 8-bit greyscale itself) is not available.
In addition to the compression procedure and quality, we can choose to have anti-aliasing applied to the edges of the rasterization. This option may produce thin white lines at the overlapping boundaries of some elements. If this happens, the solution is to uncheck the "Use anti-aliasing
" checkbox.
