This Enfocus PitStop command allows us to select an object if its colorants all have the same value, allowing them to be considered grey, regardless of whether they are lighter or darker.
This command can be used for vector or text objects, allowing you to choose the "fill
" or "stroke
" colour. It can only be used with colour objects defined in DeviceRGB or DeviceMYK. It does not work with calibrated, colour-profiled, Lab or spot colour elements, even if their alternative colour spaces define them as chromatically grey.
The "Maximum deviation from true gray
" checkbox allows us to set the amount of differentiation that can occur between one or more of the coorants in order for their colour to still be considered grey. If, for example, we set "2
", a CMYK shade "12/12/11/10
" will still be considered as grey and it will be selected. If the difference between the minimum and maximum value of all colorants exceeds that "2
" value, it will no longer be selected.
It does not work with images (pixel elements).
