This Enfocus PitStop command allows us to select the PDF output intent, which is used in some PDF standards (such as PDF/X and PDF/A). If the output intent does not exist, nothing is selected.
It has three parameters. The first one is mandatory, the other two are optional. If these two are activated they are only used if there is a compatible output intent.
"
Is not compliant with
": In this option we can choose from a closed list a PDF standard as the final purpose of the document.. If the output intent is not allowed in that standard, the output intent will be selected. In this version of PitStop, there are 8 PDF/X types (PDF/X-1a:2001, PDF/X-1a:2003, PDF/X-3:2002, PDF/X-3:2003, PDF/X-4, PDF/X-4p, PDF/X-6, PDF/X-6p and two PDF/A types (PDF/A-1 and PDF/A-2).
"
ICC profile is not
": If the output intent is compatible with the desired standard of PDF, this second option allows us to select a particular ICC colour profile. If the output intent does not match it, it will be selected.
The profile does not have to be installed on the system, we can specify any unit within reach by means of the "Browse…
" command.If the option chosen is "
None
" , the output intent will be selected only if it does not include an ICC profile.- "
ICC standard characterisation is not
": This option allows us to choose one of the characterisations of the ICC standardised printing conditions. If the characterization specified in the output intent does not match it, the output intent will be selected.
If the option chosen is "None
", the output intent will be selected only if there is no standard characterisation associated with it.
